The Heart-Core of Leadership

Leadership is its own path.

In its most authentic form, it is about will.

It is about a willingness.

A willingness to go first.

To be willing to take a stand for some piece of our collective future that is being incubated in your soul and wants to come through you.

That demands to come through you.

Not because of any illusions of perfection, but out of the humble truth that you are on fire for something that is burning inside you.

Something beyond the choice of your personal self but that a deeper part of you, in the silent space of its own inner temple, has said yes to.

It's that "yes" that drives the leader.

It's that "yes" that fuels them.

It's not about being perfect.

It's not about being the finished article.

It's about a yes to Life, in all its rugged, raw power and beauty.

It's a yes to the force of evolution, soul and unity that lives and breaths inside us all.

It's a yes to the earth, to our children, to our families, communities and humanity as one.

It's a yes to the fire of being.

Every leader can sense that private inner sanctum where they have said that, "yes".

They know it must be come to alone.

And yet they also know they can feel it in others who have come to that yes when they meet them.

They can feel when that same fire and exhilarating sacrifice is burning in their hearts.

There is a community of true leadership that exists through all times, lands, and nations.

It is made up of all those who's life is vibrating with the sacred power of this yes, the way it is fuelled their willingness to step up, to step out, to bring what wants to come through them, and the service the have given from it.

It is composed of all those who have lead.

Who know the cost of leading.

Who know the exhilaration, the vulnerability, the demands and the passion of it.

And who would do it again and again forever because it's this "yes" that connects them to the heartbeat of all Life.
