Purpose: The Eros of the Soul

There’s a lot of talk about purpose these days.

Some people see purpose like a mission statement that some have, and some don’t.

Some people don’t feel comfortable with that and suggest purpose is more just the radiation of being.

For me, purpose is both, and beyond them.

Purpose is a vibration.

It is life force.

It is the eros of your soul.

It is what turns your soul on and unites your greatest fulfilment and your deepest service to bring to the world.

In ancient cultures, purpose always played the same role:

It was seen as what allows right relationship between the individual and the tribe.

It was the responsibility of the individual to discover the purpose that is uniquely theirs to bring to the tribe.

And it was the responsibility of the tribe to support the individual to do so.

Yes, when the life force of your purpose flows into your mind it is possible to clarify it into a mission statement.

Yes, when the life force of your purpose flows through your body it radiates as an expression of simple being.

And in my work with leaders and emerging leaders I’m always clear to remind them to not forget the source behind both of these.

Purpose as pure energy.

Purpose as the eros of your soul.

This is always the source of truly alive and transformational leadership.

When fully online in a leader it emanates from their mind, heart and body.

It activates the life force of purpose in others, calling them to discover and say yes to the fire of their soul’s passion and turn on so we can collectively come online more and more powerfully to create the world our hearts sense is possible.

To unfold it, you have to let yourself out of the cage of your conditioning and get really interested in what turns you on and activates something wild in you at a soul level.

It’s there in us all.

It is the foundation of true soul-driven leadership.
